The pharmacy is excellent and well connected to the NHS. The staff are highly competent, friendly, and approachable. Kudos to them for their great work.

Because I have been ill since September my husband and I have not had our Flu and Covid jabs. Our GP surgery did not have any of the inoculations left so we rang around. Finally Tesco, Salford said we could have our Covid jabs carried out there and to come into the store after 1pm today Tuesday 3rd March. We arrived after 1pm only to be told Jason had changed his shift at the last minute and would be in at 3.30pm! We came back at 3.30pm, waited 15 minutes only to be told by him that Tesco is not registered with the NHS so he couldn’t do our Covid jabs - we are both 74 so our inoculations are free. He said he was trying to sort out the Registration and to come back in a couple of weeks - we said No we will go elsewhere. He obviously wanted us to then pay to have them carried out - there were signs saying to have the Flu and Covid jabs carried out in Tesco - they should also say if you are prepared to pay ! It was all just a total waste of an afternoon for us. Very disappointing.
We now have our Flu jabs booked at another Pharmacy, and have to, hopefully, source our Covid jabs somewhere else.
Can't be bothered to open on time
I went to speak to a pharmacist to ask advice about a rash I suspected was shingles, as it was the weekend and no GP practice was open. The, who I assume was a pharmacist, took me to the consultation room and rolled a glass over it, to check if it would fade. She told me it wasn't shingles as the rash faded, which "isn't typical for shingles, normally it wouldn't fade". A family member later informed me that you do that kind of test for meningitis, not shingles. Are these pharmacists even trained? I ended up contacting 111 who told me that it was in fact shingles that I had, so as you can imagine her rolling a glass over it for no logical reason whatsoever was very painful. It's not like I expected her to diagnose me but she clearly didn't have a clue what she was talking about. Overall, completely useless and I question the knowledge of the people working there.

I went in to find an icepack. The lady said they didn't have any. But she got the pharmacist and he was brilliant! In informed us to use deep heat on muscle injury and when to put it on and explanations of why. He was clear, informative, friendly and compassionate. Very impressed!
